About the author

If you had come here looking for a travelogue on a trip to Wayanad or for an opinion on who among Obama or McCain would win the elections or for an account of my daily experiences, this blog is not the place for you.

I, the author of this blog is an Indian hailing from an orthodox middle-economic class family in Chennai. I have somehow managed to get a much coveted Engineering degree from a top Indian grad school. I am not an altruist or a philanthropist, but i try my best to help people and make my life purposeful. Cricket, Indian Philosophy and Tamizh music fascinate me and I draw references from them in these blogs.

I am in the perennial quest for a ‘suitable’ career that I feel will be monetarily rewarding and intellectually stimulating. A vagabond that I am, I have travelled the length and breadth of this country to spruce up my educational and career skills. Writing has never been my passion as I am lingually challenged.

My blogs are mostly centred around criticism of the problems that afflict present-day India. I always give a “caustic and a vitriolic” perspective of the problems in the way I see them.

I am not a cynic. I am practical and i don’t keep hoping for a messiah to descend down on the earth to bring about a radical change. I strongly feel that every individual should work for the change he wishes to see in this world and i am doing my bit.

I feel it imperative to criticise on select national subjects/topics to enlighten people about the ‘flip side’ of things and to lend balance to the blogosphere that is otherwise replete with biased and opinionated renditions of a topic of national interest.

The title of this blog draws inspiration from (but is in no way related to) the blogs that appear under ‘Comment is Free’ on Guardian UK.

To the commenters:

This blog doesn’t have a mind. It is all from the heart. I write about those things that annoy me and about those things that i want to see them change. I don’t write here to convince anyone with my arguments. If you share my view, you can use the ‘comments’ space to express your thoughts. If you don’t agree to what I say, you can respectfully disagree with me. Any shit on the comments space will be spammed out.

Comments are moderated for the blog entries. If you have an opinion on what i have written here that you agree/disagree with and the inability to voice your comment is rendering you sleepless, feel free to contact me by mail.
